Yale is trying to smooth the rough edge of the campus north of the Grove Street Cemetery, and the new Rose Center is a first step. As headquarters for the Yale Police, the building will have “eyes on the street” 24 hours a day, its dispatchers working in a glass-walled room at right in the photo. Designed by William Rawn Associates, the building also has meeting rooms for community groups (left in photo).
