Back when the campus largely shut down for the summer, annual overhauls and maintenance of the Central Power Plant’s systems took place during a single week in August. Yale now hosts numerous summer programs, and much of the campus has been air-conditioned, so maintenance work such as cleaning out the chillers goes on year-round while the plant’s other systems continue to run. |
